Walking Through Grief: A Therapy Group

$600.00

A Six Week Therapy Group for Individuals Mourning the Loss of a Loved One

Grief can feel overwhelming, leaving you exhausted, isolated, and unsure of how to move forward. Even when surrounded by others, the pain can feel uniquely your own. This group offers a place to set down some of that weight and be alongside others who truly understand.

Over six weeks, participants will:

  • Deepen their understanding of grief and mourning

  • Honour their connection to the person they’ve lost

  • Explore the stages of grief, including meaning making

  • Take home ongoing grief resources

  • Build tools for navigating sudden “grief bursts”

  • Find validation, healing, and community in a safe space

Led by Sara Brooks, RP, this group provides support for those grieving the loss of a loved one (please note: this group does not cover pet loss or suicide bereavement). Together, we will acknowledge the pain of loss while creating space for hope and healing to take root.

Dates: Wednesdays, October 29 – December 3, 2025
Time: 6:30 – 8:00 PM
Cost: $600 total (covered by most extended health insurance plans)

To ensure a good fit, all participants will complete a brief screening call before joining.

Exhale Therapy acknowledges that we live, work and play on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe, and Haudenosaunee Peoples. Today, this area remains home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island, and as settlers, it is crucial that we acknowledge the contributions and historical significance of Indigenous Peoples. A land acknowledgment without a commitment to meaningful action is an empty gesture. We are dedicated to ongoing decolonizing work.
