Date: Saturday, November 7th · 10 AM – 6 PM
Location: 475 Park Street, Kitchener
You don't need an official diagnosis to join us.
Accepting My Autistic Brain is a small, full-day group for autistic adults, led by two neurodivergent therapists here in Kitchener.
Maybe you've recently been diagnosed. Maybe you've been suspecting it for some time, slowly recognizing pieces of yourself in the experiences of other autistic adults.
Maybe you've spent years masking, adapting, people-pleasing, pushing through sensory overwhelm, or wondering why the world seems to ask so much more energy of you than it asks of everyone else.
This day is about making sense of it all, a chance to learn more about autism, explore your autistic identity, and spend time with other adults who may be navigating some of the same ups and downs.
Stim freely, wear headphones or sunglasses, sit where you like, skip the eye contact, step out whenever you need to and come back when you're ready. Sharing is invited, never required. The room is set up with couches and comfortable seating, blankets and pillows, and fidgets to try. There's a separate quiet space you can use at any point in the day.
$99 covers the whole day, including a neurodivergent-friendly lunch, a fidget to take home, and a roadmap forward.
This workshop is for autistic adults 19 and over, and we ask that you attend on your own. It's a learning day, not an assessment, and nobody is diagnosed here. If you're not sure it's a fit, please contact our office and we will set up a care call with Mary or Kameron.
