No two days look exactly the same. Our clinicians bring flexibility, curiosity, and care to their work, while contributing to a culture that is grounded, collaborative, and committed to meaningful, lasting impact for the clients we serve.

Our clinic operates with both daytime and afternoon/evening shifts. Clinicians may need work a variety of shifts to support clients and clinic operations.

Registered Social Worker and Registered psychotherapist

Location: Kitchener, ON (In-Person & Virtual)
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time, Contract
Compensation: $90.00 - CA$97.50 per hour
Start Date: June/July 2026

Our team includes over 30 trained professionals, including registered social workers and psychotherapists who offer evidence-informed therapy using a range of therapeutic approaches.

Our administrative team plays a vital role in keeping the clinic organized and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. In this role, you will work alongside clinicians and colleagues to manage scheduling, communications, and client care processes that help the clinic function efficiently and professionally.

What You’ll Do

As a Registered Therapist at Exhale, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families, supporting clients through a range of concerns with care, professionalism, and clinical integrity.

You will work within a collaborative team environment while maintaining autonomy in your clinical work, supported by strong systems, referrals, and administrative infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families

  • Support clients presenting with concerns such as trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and life transitions

  • Develop thoughtful case conceptualizations and treatment plans

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes

  • Collaborate with team members when appropriate and participate in consultation opportunities

  • Manage your schedule effectively, including offering evening and/or weekend availability

  • Maintain ethical and professional standards in alignment with your regulatory body

  • Maintain strict client confidentiality and follow clinic policies and procedures in interactions

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled clinician who is committed to supporting individuals and couples in creating meaningful, lasting change.

You are grounded, reflective, and clinically curious. You bring training across multiple modalities and feel confident supporting individuals, couples and trauma work, with the ability to work with more complex or layered presentations. Experience supporting families is considered an asset.

You value both clinical depth and consistency, and you are looking to build your work within a team, not in isolation.

You are open to feedback, committed to continued growth, and bring a thoughtful, professional presence to your work with both clients and colleagues.

Strong candidates will demonstrate:

  • Formal training and experience in couples or relationship therapy (EFT, Gottman Method, or similar)

  • Training in trauma-informed approaches (IFS, EMDR or equivalent an asset)

  • Experience with modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT, IFS or other evidence-based approaches

  • A commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally responsive care

  • Strong skills in case conceptualization, treatment planning, and timely clinical documentation

  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach, with the ability to align with clinic systems and standards of care

Availability

  • Ability to offer a minimum of 15–24 clinical hours per week

  • Availability for some evenings and/or weekends is required

  • Ability to provide both in-person and virtual sessions

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree

  • Registered and in good standing with the OCSWSSW or CRPO (RP or RP(Q))

  • Minimum 2-3 years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy

  • Professional liability insurance (minimum $5,000,000 CAD)
