LOGAN LAWSON (SHE/HER), RP (QUALIFYING)

Hi, I’m Logan (she/Her)!

I am currently completing my Master’s in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Martin Luther University College (Wilfrid Laurier University). Earlier chapters of my life included giving tours through a maple sugar bush, performing in outdoor theatre productions, training as a classical musician, and working in art galleries and academic libraries. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for curiosity, creativity, and connection with others and have deepened my skills of interpretation, reflection, and meaning-making. As I step into the world of psychotherapy, I bring with me a belief in our innate capacity for growth and I strive to create a space where all parts of ourselves are welcomed, honoured, and integrated.

Through my own experience as a client, I know that going to therapy can feel uncomfortable, unfamiliar, and uncertain. It can be hard to open up to another person on the best of days, let alone to continue showing up for yourself when there are so many day-to-day responsibilities competing for your attention. Whether this is your first time seeking psychotherapy, or you’re a seasoned client, I recognize and appreciate your commitment to personal growth and resilience.

I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationship dynamics, attachment wounds, trauma recovery, self-esteem challenges, identity exploration, and major life transitions. As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I’m honored to support those exploring their gender or sexuality, and I offer both professional and personal insight to those seeking deeper understanding for themselves or their loved ones. Whether you’re struggling with emotional overwhelm, intimacy patterns, existential concerns, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to support you exactly where you are. Together, we will cultivate greater freedom, authenticity, and joy by equipping you with tools to move through life with more ease, awareness, and intention.

My approach to psychotherapy is trauma-informed and attachment-focused, meaning I’ll bring care and curiosity when we explore the experiences that have shaped you. Understanding how your past influences your present can help deepen your trust in yourself and your relationships, allowing you to move forward with clarity and security. My style is shaped by my experience with mindfulness-based practices like yoga, meditation, tai chi, and contemplative writing. I share skills that build resilience, helping you navigate life’s challenges while also savoring its beautiful moments. I also hold space for life’s deeper questions, including those that arise during illness, aging, grief, or other transitions including career expansion or job loss, and relationship formation or breakdown. My work is rooted in existential and transpersonal perspectives, and I bring a sense of wonder to both the everyday and extraordinary moments of life. To me, psychotherapy is a creative process of integrating your experiences within a coherent and authentic sense of self.

Outside of the therapy space, I can be found with a coffee in one hand and a good book in the other, psychoanalyzing reality TV shows, and dreaming up my latest arts and crafts project.

I look forward to connecting with you and engaging in this valuable work together!
