JOCELYN ECKERT, RP
Hi, I’m Jocelyn!
Whatever brings you here, questions, concerns, or simply a desire for support, you’re welcome. Taking this step is meaningful, and it often takes courage. Whether life feels overwhelming or something just doesn’t feel quite right, you don’t have to face it alone. In our work together, I aim to create a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental space. You don’t need the “right words” or a clear goal to begin. We can explore what feels most important and what support might look like for you. My role is not to judge or “fix,” but to walk alongside you as we explore what’s happening and what might help. I aim to meet you where you are, respecting your pace, and supporting growth that feels meaningful and sustainable.
Therapy is relational, and I work in ways that honour your strengths, value connection, and consider the broader contexts shaping emotions, behaviour, relationships, and identity. Together, we may focus on understanding experiences, building coping skills, supporting emotion regulation, improving communication, or navigating challenges that feel confusing or painful. I draw from and integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Expressive Arts Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Trauma-Informed approaches, Family Systems therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Person-Centred and Strengths-Based approaches, and mindfulness-based interventions, tailoring our work to your unique needs.
I support children, youth, and adults with a range of concerns, including life transitions, grief, self-criticism, social challenges, depression, anxiety, mood changes, stress, relationships, parenting, self-confidence, and identity. I also work with individuals with ASD and ADHD using a neurodiversity-affirming and developmentally informed approach. My work is collaborative, caring, and focused on safety and empowerment, helping each person feel understood and supported.
Outside of therapy, I love finding little ways to stay grounded and connected: walks with my dog, family time, travelling, trying out new baking experiments, or getting lost in a podcast. I bring that same curiosity, warmth, and steadiness into our work together, helping you navigate life’s ups and downs.
